（澳洲生活網訊）擔保類培訓和研究簽證（402 簽證 ）是針對那些由於臨時性參加職業培訓和觀察，作為訪問學者來觀察或者參與研究，或者參與一個專業發展項目的人來澳大利亞所需要申請的一個臨時性簽證。
顧名思義402簽證嚴格意義上不是一個工作類簽證。
澳洲402簽證分為三個細類：
1. 職業技術培訓人員類：這類人員是需要通過最基本的工作場所來培訓，以提高他們在目前的職業，高等教育研究領域或者專業領域的技能。對於申請這個細類的人員，申請人遞交申請時可以在澳大利亞境內或者境外。如果你在澳大利亞境內，你必須要在澳大利亞境內遞交申請；如果你在澳大利亞境外，你必須在澳大利亞境外遞交申請。但是，無論簽證在哪裡遞交，簽證獲批時你在澳大利亞境內境外均可。
簽證有效期2年
2. 職業發展類：這類人員一般是被邀請參與澳大利亞一個專業的發展培訓項目的專業人員，管理人員或者政府部門人員。對於申請這個細類的人員，申請人遞交申請和簽證獲批時都必須要在澳大利亞境外。申請人的擔保人可以代替申請人遞交申請。簽證有效期18個月
3. 研究類：這類人員一般是被澳大利亞高等教育或研究機構邀請訪問澳大利亞或者觀察參與一個澳大利亞研究項目的專業學者。對於申請這個細類的人員，申請人遞交申請時可以在澳大利亞境內或者境外。如果你在澳大利亞境內，你必須要在澳大利亞境內遞交申請；如果你在澳大利亞境外，你必須在澳大利亞境外遞交申請。但是，無論簽證在哪裡遞交，簽證獲批時你在澳大利亞境內境外均可。簽證有效期12個月
申請人要求
1. Are sponsored by one of the following
被以下任意一個機構擔保：
· a training and research sponsor who has lodged their sponsorship application or had it approved
一個已經遞交了或者獲批了擔保申請的培訓和研究的擔保方
·an approved professional development sponsor
一個經批准的專業性發展擔保方
· an approved visiting academic sponsor or occupational trainee sponsor (for sponsorship applications lodged before 24 November 2012)
一個經批准的學術訪問擔保方或者職業技術培訓擔保方（針對2012年11月24日前遞交申請的擔保申請）
2. Meet the requirements of the visa for the stream in which you are applying
滿足申請人正在申請的簽證細類的要求
3.Have a genuine intention to stay temporarily in Australia
真正意圖是暫時留在澳大利亞
4. Have adequate financial support for yourself and accompanying family members while in Australia
有充足的資金來支持自己和隨行家屬在澳大利亞這段時間的開支
5. Have adequate arrangements for health insurance while in Australia
對於停留在澳大利亞這段時間內的健康保險有適當的安排
6. Meet health and character requirements.
滿足健康和品行要求
7. Are at least 18 years of age (except in limited circumstances).
已年滿18周歲（特殊情況除外）。

1. To apply in the Occupational Trainee or Research stream, you and anyone included in your application can be in or outside Australia.
職業技術培訓人員類和研究類申請遞交時，所有申請人都可以在澳大利亞境內或者境外
2. You should have all documents ready when you lodge the application to reduce any delays in processing.
準備好籤證申請所必須的所有材料
3. You can apply for this visa using the following form: Form 1402

4. Lodge your completed application form with all the required documents and pay the visa application charge at the Hobart office in Tasmania- attention Specialist Temporary Entry Centre
申請人將申請表格，簽證所需材料和申請費遞交至塔斯馬尼亞霍巴特辦公室（專家關注臨時入境中心）
5. Lodge your application in person, by courier or by post
申請人可通過郵寄，或親自遞交申請；
職業發展類：
1. To apply in the Professional Development stream, you must be outside Australia. Your sponsor can lodge the application on your behalf.
對於申請這個細類的人員，申請人遞交申請和簽證獲批時都必須要在澳大利亞境外。申請人的擔保人可以代替申請人遞交申請。
