悉尼万众瞩目的灯光节（Vivid Sydney）刚刚落幕，墨尔本的小伙伴们也将迎来一个闪亮的节日 —— Lightscape Festival。
Lightscape灯光节最初在英国举行，曾在17个不同的地方巡回展出，随后在美国举行。因COVID-19疫情暌违两年后，终于在今年来到墨尔本。
夕阳落山后，夜幕降临时，墨尔本皇家植物园（Royal Botanic Gardens）的霓虹灯便如同守时的春花齐齐盛绽。近2公里长的灯光景观、披着霓虹灯藤蔓的无花果树、亮眼的人行道和由10万多盏小灯组成的“冬季大教堂”（Winter Cathedral）都是本节日的看点。

以前皇家植物园通常到下午5点30分就会关门，如今关门时间更改，以便让游客欣赏夜幕下种类多样的植物、目不暇接的彩灯及大多数市民未曾见过的风景。
“（花园）以前通常在晚上关闭，所以能看到所有美丽的树木闪闪发光是一种享受，真的非常、非常神奇！” 皇家植物园的创意制作人Kara Ward说。
据《时代报》消息，Ward还透露：“你将在旅途中经过维多利亚国家标本馆（National Herbarium of Victoria），这是植物园内从不对公众开放的建筑，也是我们精英科学团队工作的地方。”
该灯光节可谓群英荟萃，主办方聘请各路专家相助，有些专门确保园内野生动物和植物在活动期间免受干扰，有些则为节日设计及制作装饰。
Kathy Holowko是为该节日特别创作的三位本地艺术家之一。他建造了一个巨大的植物压机，用于制作四个金字塔形的灯笼。
她在制作时使用了标本馆植物库内的标本，其中有些是经晾干或压制的标本，甚至可以追溯至19世纪。
傍晚华灯初上时，灯笼将照亮植物园，游客甚至可以看清楚树叶的脉络。
原住民艺术家Mandy Nicholson专门负责绘制插图，讲述国家、家庭和原住民精神的故事，其画作将投影至植物园周围的不同位置。
其中有对澳洲殖民化前残存树木的投影，Nicholson绘制的美丽胶花将被投射至树上。Ward形容说，这么做会在某种程度上重新诠释了树木。
另一处看点则是维州鲜为人知的标志Epacris Impressa，即石南的图像。
大家也不必发愁在旅途中饿肚子，因为现场有餐车、奶油布丁车、香料酒（mulled wine）、尼格罗尼鸡尾酒（意大利语：Negroni）、披萨、烤干酪辣味玉米片和汉堡等，应有尽有。
墨尔本Lightscape将在6月24日至8月7日举行。
