澳洲2016年推出高考HSC教学最大改革，关系到每个家庭。可能到現在还有很多家长对此不清楚，有些读者打电话来询问。这里，我们再次借“澳洲生活网”，为您理出要点。
一、阅读、写作、算术全国考试，成绩需达到Band 8：
2016年7月19日，NSW Minister for Education, Adrian Piccoli在Cherrybrook Technology High School宣布：中学生必须通过基本阅读、写作、算术全国考试，达到最少Band 8（最高成绩Band 10），才能最后取得HSC高中毕业文凭；否则，只能拿初中毕业文凭RoSA/Record of School Achievement。
具体规定是：从2017年开始，9年级学生2017年5月9日-11日三天进行全国NAPLAN统考，阅读、写作、算术成绩必须达到Band 8的标准 (Students in Year 9 from 2017 will be able to meet the standard by achieving Band 8 in NAPLAN in reading, writing and numeracy.) 。
公布的2017年NAPLAN考试NSW九年级学生的成绩通过比率为：
- Reading：有55%通过；
- Numeracy：有54%通过；
- Writing：最差，只有42%通过。
综合起来，有68%的学生明年需补考。
根据2016年数据：有78%的NSW九年级学生无法达标。所以，以后的7年级、8年级、及9年级学生也得好好读书，起码最基本的测试你得争取过；不能像以前,有的学生靠在10年级、11年级、12年级的打拼，觉得前面如果没用功好像关系不大。
针对没达标的学生，政府也想好办法了：从2018年开始，10年级、11年级、12年级学生继续在网上进行读、写、算测试，有多次补考机会；如果到12年级结束时还是无法通过考试，还有5年机会继续考。什么时候过，什么时候拿高中毕业文凭（From 2018, an online literacy and numeracy test will be available for students to demonstrate they have met the standard）。这好像跟精英中学的学生关系不大，也许只有5%的最差学生要小心。
二、科目高考大纲改革
2016年7月21日，Tom Alegounarias (the President of Board of Studies) 先生公布英文、数学、科学、历史最重要17门科目高考大纲改革草案，向社会征询公众意见。计划方案通过后，给予老师一年的缓冲期执行：2018年起，11年级学生开始使用新大纲；2018年10月开始，12年级学生增加“科学延伸Science Extension”科目。2016年读9年级的学生开始使用新大纲。

数学会怎么变：
大家比较关注的数学变化，将注重抽象问题的实际应用：所有的数学课程都将教授统计学，并引入个人金融理财知识；2单元的数学课程会更艰深（In maths, there is a new focus on teaching its practical applications for abstract problems by introducing personal finance and statistics at all levels, including extension maths. At the highest level, Extension 2 Maths is expected to become more complex.）。
建议：
2018年的9年级学生，赶紧买几本书准备，先通过全国统考：
