（澳洲生活网讯）担保类培训和研究签证（402 签证 ）是针对那些由于临时性参加职业培训和观察，作为访问学者来观察或者参与研究，或者参与一个专业发展项目的人来澳大利亚所需要申请的一个临时性签证。
顾名思义402签证严格意义上不是一个工作类签证。
澳洲402签证分为三个细类：
1. 职业技术培训人员类：这类人员是需要通过最基本的工作场所来培训，以提高他们在目前的职业，高等教育研究领域或者专业领域的技能。对于申请这个细类的人员，申请人递交申请时可以在澳大利亚境内或者境外。如果你在澳大利亚境内，你必须要在澳大利亚境内递交申请；如果你在澳大利亚境外，你必须在澳大利亚境外递交申请。但是，无论签证在哪里递交，签证获批时你在澳大利亚境内境外均可。
签证有效期2年
2. 职业发展类：这类人员一般是被邀请参与澳大利亚一个专业的发展培训项目的专业人员，管理人员或者政府部门人员。对于申请这个细类的人员，申请人递交申请和签证获批时都必须要在澳大利亚境外。申请人的担保人可以代替申请人递交申请。签证有效期18个月
3. 研究类：这类人员一般是被澳大利亚高等教育或研究机构邀请访问澳大利亚或者观察参与一个澳大利亚研究项目的专业学者。对于申请这个细类的人员，申请人递交申请时可以在澳大利亚境内或者境外。如果你在澳大利亚境内，你必须要在澳大利亚境内递交申请；如果你在澳大利亚境外，你必须在澳大利亚境外递交申请。但是，无论签证在哪里递交，签证获批时你在澳大利亚境内境外均可。签证有效期12个月
申请人要求
1. Are sponsored by one of the following
被以下任意一个机构担保：
· a training and research sponsor who has lodged their sponsorship application or had it approved
一个已经递交了或者获批了担保申请的培训和研究的担保方
·an approved professional development sponsor
一个经批准的专业性发展担保方
· an approved visiting academic sponsor or occupational trainee sponsor (for sponsorship applications lodged before 24 November 2012)
一个经批准的学术访问担保方或者职业技术培训担保方（针对2012年11月24日前递交申请的担保申请）
2. Meet the requirements of the visa for the stream in which you are applying
满足申请人正在申请的签证细类的要求
3.Have a genuine intention to stay temporarily in Australia
真正意图是暂时留在澳大利亚
4. Have adequate financial support for yourself and accompanying family members while in Australia
有充足的资金来支持自己和随行家属在澳大利亚这段时间的开支
5. Have adequate arrangements for health insurance while in Australia
对于停留在澳大利亚这段时间内的健康保险有适当的安排
6. Meet health and character requirements.
满足健康和品行要求
7. Are at least 18 years of age (except in limited circumstances).
已年满18周岁（特殊情况除外）。

职业技术培训人员类：
1. To apply in the Occupational Trainee or Research stream, you and anyone included in your application can be in or outside Australia.
职业技术培训人员类和研究类申请递交时，所有申请人都可以在澳大利亚境内或者境外
2. You should have all documents ready when you lodge the application to reduce any delays in processing.
准备好签证申请所必须的所有材料
3. You can apply for this visa using the following form: Form 1402
申请人需要填写“1402担保类培训与研究签证申请表”
4. Lodge your completed application form with all the required documents and pay the visa application charge at the Hobart office in Tasmania- attention Specialist Temporary Entry Centre
申请人将申请表格，签证所需材料和申请费递交至塔斯马尼亚霍巴特办公室（专家关注临时入境中心）
5. Lodge your application in person, by courier or by post
申请人可通过邮寄，或亲自递交申请；
职业发展类：
1. To apply in the Professional Development stream, you must be outside Australia. Your sponsor can lodge the application on your behalf.
对于申请这个细类的人员，申请人递交申请和签证获批时都必须要在澳大利亚境外。申请人的担保人可以代替申请人递交申请。
2. You should have all documents ready when you lodge the application to reduce any delays in processing.
